The Excelitas facility in Alzenau, Germany has key positions in Research & Development, Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, and other administrative functions. This facility specializes in the production of infrared emitters for industrial process technology, particularly for heat treatment and drying in a wide range of industries such as automotive, coating, plastics, textiles, food, printing, and glass. Additionally, this site houses a modern application competence center that conducts practical tests with customer materials and laboratory simulations of specific processes to determine the optimal process solution

What you can expect:

• As a team lead, you will be responsible for the technical and managerial coordination of a small team and will ensure efficient task and resource planning.


• Together with your team, you will be responsible for the smooth and timely handling of domestic and international shipping and receiving processes, including the necessary freight, customs, and export documentation.


• You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations in customs, foreign trade, and export control law and serve as the point of contact for government agencies as well as internal and external audits.


• Managing logistics service providers, coordinating collaboration with relevant internal departments, and handling escalation management in the event of logistical deviations are also part of your responsibilities.


• The continuous improvement of logistics processes, maintaining consistent standards, and contributing to digitization and automation projects round out your role.

What you bring to the role:

• Completed business apprenticeship with relevant continuing education in logistics or a comparable field


• Several years of professional experience in logistics, customs, export control, and/or foreign trade


• In-depth knowledge of customs, foreign trade, and export control laws


• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office, as well as experience with shipping and customs systems


• Strong communication skills, decision-making ability, and a structured, solution-oriented approach to work


• A strong focus on customers, service, and continuous improvement


• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
