Technical Data Engineer (D/F/M)

Job Description:

This position is part of our Safety Business Unit, which aims to enable safer, greener and more inclusive industries and transportation systems.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Carrying out and coordinating development work for systems/modules/subsystems with a focus on creating technical data, including defining and validating the contents of manuals
• Creating drawings or data sets, preparing or merging documentation, and coordinating technical solutions with other
  departments
• Contact person for all technical data in the area of responsibility. Processing and safety assessment of customer inquiries
• Optimizing and further developing solutions, i.e. analyzing previous designs and developing alternative solutions, including evaluating the various alternatives
• Proactively identifying, reducing and tracking blocking points as well as constantly evaluating the technical data and the contents of manuals with a view to quality assurance
• Interface between technical data, airline customers, internal Airbus employees (e.g. design office, programs, delivery centers, other customer service units, etc.), and external interfaces
• Taking on functional and/or project-related tasks in projects (e. g. technical project planning, topic responsibility). Participation in internal, external and transnational projects to improve our products and processes
• Participation in the preparation of offers and company presentations
• Preparation of required documentation and presentations of work results

Required qualifications
The work task requires knowledge and skills, as can usually be achieved through a relevant, completed course of study with a standard period of study of up to 4 years in the area of Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and related subject-specific additional qualifications or completed vocational training with a corresponding, particularly extensive, subject-specific additional qualification.

The overall knowledge and experience required may have been acquired in other ways.

Desired skills and competences

• Knowledge and experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility
• Working experience as an Technical Data Engineer or a similar role
• Previous experience working in direct contact with the customer and with tight deadlines is a plus
• Profound knowledge of various programming languages, frameworks, and technologies, such as Phyton, 3D tools (e.g. CATIA, 3D Juump) is a plus
• Excellent analytical and structured working skills
• You are flexible to adapt your daily work in order to answer customer or organisational requests
• As an open-minded person you are confident in challenging existing practices and implementing improvements
• You are a good team player and teamwork is very important for you
• Working in an international and multicultural environment is inspiring for you
• Accurate, transparent and clear project status reports
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and
  stakeholders
• Language skills: English and German fluent (at least language level B2)
  Willingness to travel domestically and abroad

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe
