    We are looking for an Inland Delivery Senior Coordinator anchored in the local Operations unit. This is a unique opportunity to realize the full potential of Hapag-Lloyd’s Inland business by providing state-of-the-art Inland operations and services. Hapag-Lloyd has announced strong growth ambitions in the Inland business, aiming to approximately double its share of container shipments with an inland component to a target of 30% until . To achieve this goal, we have decided to create this new role of Inland Delivery to enhance our Inland operations and services. Your tasks are clustered around the topics of: Transportation planning, operational management of Inland transports, administrating Inland transports, vendor and customer communication. You will cooperate with your Operations colleagues to increase internal efficiencies and provide significantly improved service quality.     Your tasks:

  • You organize and optimize daily transport planning in cooperation with our subcontractors and our customers.
  • You are in direct contact with our customers concerning transport related challenges, delays, and the planning of new business in cooperation with sales.
  • You are responsible for the processing of received booking amendments and booking confirmations for transport-relevant shipments in import and export.
  • You closely monitor transport developments - especially in complex situations - and therefore find the best possible solutions and alternatives for our customers depending on their needs.
  • You will work closely with other departments of the hinterland logistics (ED and M&R), maritime logistics (terminal processes) and operations steering support.
  • You independently clarify cost differences between orders and transport invoices.
  • You are part of the constant development of new, innovative ideas to continuously advance our high-quality standards.
  • Your profile:

  • You have several years of experience in liner shipping and / or forwarding.
  • You have a high customer and service orientation, as well as a high level of communication skills; ideally also professional experience in customer service-related role(s)
  • You are a team player with a sense of responsibility and special commitment, and you also have a high level of initiative.
  • You have initial experience with customs clearance themes.
  • You work proactively, structured, and analytically.
  • You are highly interested in digital transformation.
  • You have good written and oral German and English skills, and enjoy working with MS Office tools (Excel, etc.)
  • You have knowledge or experience working with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools.
