Tender Engineer - Digital Power Applications

## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe key function of this role is to lead complex project tenders from initial review through final quotation to ensure maximum Eaton content meeting the needs of the project with a specialized expertise in digital power applications such as power monitoring and communications (e.g. EPMS / SCADA / BMS).\n\nThis individual will play a critical role in helping Eaton to eventually deliver winning, profitable bids that have a clear scope of work with accurate technical and commercial commitments.\n\nIn particular, this role is designed for someone with a strong background in both electrical and digital areas - and ideally have hands on project site experience.\n\nThis role will require interpreting the technical packages (drawings, specifications) to identify where Eaton\u0027s digital offers fit and to ensure alignment including agreed CDE\u0027s (Comply-Deviate-Exceptions) for all the technical aspects of a tender.\n\nThis role can be performed from anywhere in Europe and require good communications and organization of work to serve a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders while meeting agreed turn around times.\n\nThis individual should have a good understanding and experience around the electrical infrastructure design and needs for buildings.\n\nExperience working on and around commerical and/or industrial projects and especially data centers is strongly desired.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Analyze incoming RFQs (Request For Quotation) from customers\n * Ensure Eaton\u2019s offer is aligning technically with customer specifications.\n * Coordinate with sales, applications, consultants, product owners, and the wider tender team such that Eaton bids are compelling and give the customer confidence in the offer proposed.\n * Assist in preparation of costing as per standard process and tools.\n * Meet agreed timelines for tenders and keep stakeholders aware of progress, any constraints.\n * Perform technical risk and opportunity analysis.\n * At time of win - manage a smooth handover to execution teams (and support after if needed) so that scope and works needed are clearly communicated.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering\n * Formal education or equivelent experince in automation for electrical systems\n * Minimum of 5 years of engineering and design experience of electrical distribution systems for buildings.\n * Experience designing and/or installing automation systems for buildings or other infrastructure projects.\n * Experience with large scale Commercial \u0026 Industrial type projects a plus as is experince with UPS type backup power environments (e.g. Data Centers).\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n * Automation (e.g. SCADA, other control systems) knowledge for Design Configuration \u0026 Commissioning.\n * Primary \u0026 Secondary electrical power\n * Eaton or similar industry product portfolio (Switchgear, LV assemblies, UPS, etc.)\n * Strong technical (electrical, automation) and problem solving skills\n * Proven track record of achieving objectives and solving problem\n * Strong collaboration and interpersonal communication and influencing skills\n * Ability to negotiate and drive alignment on technical designs\n * Customer / people skills\n * Fluent English.
