Arbeitsbeschreibung - VP Sales, DACH

Via is on a mission to create public transportation systems that provide far greater access to jobs, healthcare, and education. Our platform serves as the technology backbone for modern transport, transforming antiquated and siloed public transportation systems into smart, data-driven, and efficient digital networks. With hundreds of agency partners around the world, Via is recognized as the leading transportation technology and service provider globally.


As VP Sales, DACH at Via, you will play a defining role in how cities and regions across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland rethink and deliver public transport. You’ll own the regional commercial strategy, lead complex end-to-end sales cycles, and build lasting partnerships with transport authorities, municipalities, operators, and public and private-sector leaders. In doing so, you’ll help communities move more efficiently, sustainably, and equitably,  while delivering on ambitious revenue goals and strengthening Via’s position as a trusted partner across the DACH mobility ecosystem.


Via is already working with over 40 cities and operators across DACH, and this role is about accelerating that momentum. You'll inherit a strong foundation and a clear mandate: expand our footprint, deepen our impact, and build the commercial organization to sustain it.


What You’ll Do



  • Define and lead Via’s commercial vision and long-term growth strategy across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland

  • Own regional revenue performance and market expansion, overseeing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise engagements from early market development through close.

  • Build and steward executive-level relationships with transport authorities, municipalities, operators, and government stakeholders, positioning Via as a trusted strategic partner.

  • Shape how Via’s full platform, including Citymapper and Remix,is deployed across the DACH region to address evolving mobility needs.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing regional commercial organization, fostering collaboration, accountability, and inclusive leadership.

  • Partner closely with global Product, Marketing, Finance, and Expansion teams to align regional priorities with company strategy.

  • Represent Via as an executive voice within the DACH mobility ecosystem, contributing to industry dialogue and strengthening long-term strategic positioning.


Who You Are



  • 15+ years of experience closing complex, consultative enterprise deals in sales, business development, strategy, or related roles — ideally within government, infrastructure, enterprise SaaS, or tech-enabled services.

  • A track record of winning multi-stakeholder agreements where outcomes are driven by trust, credibility, and long-term relationship-building.

  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills — you translate policy, funding frameworks, and operational needs into clear, compelling commercial narratives.

  • A collaborative leader with sound commercial judgment — you know when to advocate firmly, when to listen closely, and when to adapt your approach.

  • Motivated by ownership and impact; you’re energized by the opportunity to shape a market and see long-term initiatives through.

  • Fluent in English; native-level German required

  • Experience in transportation, mobility, or public-sector sales is a strong plus, but not a requirement.

  • Willingness to travel across the DACH region (approximately 25–50%).
