Warehouse & Logistics Team Leader

We are looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Team Leader to be responsible for the overall supply chain management. Logistics Team leader responsibilities include organizing and monitoring storage and distribution of goods and the relationships and contracting with forwarders. The goal is to manage the entire order cycle to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.
You are in contact with customers, product suppliers, the global management, colleagues and forwarders concerning various matters of the flow. The direct warehouse team consist out of four colleagues who will report to you. The Team Leader reports directly to our CEO.

Tasks / Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise warehouse and logistics staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, forwarders, transportation and customer services
• Plan, organize, and monitor warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching goods.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, ISO requirements and industry best practices.
• Onboard, train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance performance and productivity.
• Optimize warehouse layout, full order cycle and storage solutions for maximum efficiency.
• Manage forwarders to secure on time deliveries and negotiation of pricing contracts.
• Resolve any arising problems or complaints.
• Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with international colleagues, product suppliers, forwarders and customers to ensure seamless coordination.
• Address and resolve any inventory discrepancies or operational challenges.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of warehouse transactions.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse processes.
• Registration of goods in ERP and the handling of related documentation.

• Strong customer-oriented mindset
• Proven experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and team management abilities.
• Hands-on mentality with strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and develop a team.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems, ERP system and inventory control procedures.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehousing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
• Fluent in German and very good knowledge of the English language (C1 Level), spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel and visit colleagues, forwarders and customers.
