Web Solutions Architect (m/f/d)

Job Description

The Solution Architect designs and evolves scalable, high-performance systems for an industrial web application. The role focuses on system architecture, API and database design, translating new features into concise system architecture, hands-on backend development and leveraging AI-based tools and automation to efficiently support overall delivery speed

System & Solution Architecture

• Design end-to-end solution architecture based on microservices and modular systems


• Define system boundaries, responsibilities, and integration patterns


• Ensure maintainable, secure, and future-proof architecture in Azure and Databricks

API & Data Design

• Design and govern API contracts (MuleSoft, REST, event-driven, async)


• Define database and data models aligned with performance and scalability needs (Databricks, Azure SQL, Blob Storage)

Scaling & Performance

• Design for scalability, availability, and performance from the start


• Identify bottlenecks and define performance optimization strategies

Feature Design & Workshops

• Lead and moderate technical workshops for new features and system extensions


• Translate business and product requirements into technical solutions


• Align stakeholders on architecture, tradeoffs, and implementation approach

AI-Driven Development & Automation

• Define and govern the use of AI-based development tools and automation across backend and frontend teams to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability


• Use AI-based automation to support and generate code reviews and pull requests

Technical Leadership

• Act as architectural authority and sparring partner for web development team


• Support team with guidelines, reviews, best practices and hands-on development


• Ensure architectural alignment across products and platforms

Your Profile

• Experience as Backend Architect, Solution Architect, or Senior Backend Engineer


• Strong background in microservice architecture, APIs, and data modeling


• Proven experience designing scalable, high‑performance enterprise systems


• Strong background and hands on in C#, Entity Framework, Azure, Databricks


• Ability to translate complex engineering requirements into clear technical designs


• Strong communication skills and workshop facilitation experience


• Experience in industrial or enterprise environments is a plus
