Arbeitsbeschreibung - Weighbridge Clerk - 11 Positions K4

Job Purpose:
Weighbridge Clerk is responsible for ensuring proper control of the trucks in and out of the weighbridge as well as the verification of the weighbridge is conducted successfully.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

The weighbridge clerk ensures proper operation of the weighbridge by following the procedure
Weighbridge Clerk is responsible for accurately record weight data and truck details, verify document, and print out tickets and these should be in triplicate. Sign and give a copy to the driver. Keep the other copies for reference.
During operation Weighbridge Clerk must check that the truck registration number on the weigh note (consignment note) match with the one on the plate number of the truck on the platform.
Weighbridge Clerk is responsible to check that all weighbridge facilities are clean, safe, and operational, report any faulty immediately.
At the beginning of the shift, Weighbridge Clerk must check that the weighing scale reads zero when is empty.
Weighbridge Clerk must ensure captured details is as displayed on the W/Note and ensure that details (Number and Name) match those in the computer.
Weighbridge Clerk must ensure the Weighing of the truck to get the gross (first) mass and the figure must synchronize automatically on the database (scalability). And must fix tag number to each cane supplied.
Weighbridge clerks collaborate closely with truck drivers, to ensure that vehicles are properly positioned on the weighbridge platform.
During Weighing out: Weighbridge Clerk must ensure underweight and overweight incidences are resolved by return the truck to warehouse for rectification with guide of tolerance table.
Ensure the weighbridge mass check is performed for scale verification; Weighbridge Clerk must ensure all differences are less than 90kg’s; where any difference is greater than 90kg’s the different should be reported to laboratory technician to generate an incident report.

Job requirements:

Form Four certificate
Certificate in weighbridge operation course is an added advantage.
Certificate or diploma in a computer course.
Minimum of 1 year working experience in industrial areas preferably weighbridge.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Terms of service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a permanent contract.
