As Working Student Legal (all genders) you will work in a dynamic environment and take your legal skills to the next level while actively contributing to the growth and success of HeyJobs.

🎯 How you can contribute to HeyJobs

• Focus on data protection law: You will keep everything in line with data protection law. You will create and maintain internal and external data protection documentation and help to ensure that HeyJobs products are designed in compliance with data protection law.

• Focus on sales/commercial matters: You will create and maintain modern contract templates using technology and automation and support our sales team by defining the legal scope for the conclusion of contracts.

• You are the contact person for everything legal.  Any legal topic can land on your desk, be it questions on labor law, intellectual property law, or other areas of law - both German law and cross-border matters. From day one, you will help to make the work in the legal function as efficient as possible and have a strong focus on scalability through process, automation, and tools.

🤝 What sets you up for success

• Legal education (passing of 1st state exam) 

• Past professional experience in a company, ideally in a start-up, with proven practical experience in data protection law.

• Strong ability to present legal issues clearly and communicate in German and English.

• An entrepreneurial mindset and weighing up risks in a pragmatic way making you an important decision-maker.

• Eager self-starter and thinker while enjoying cross-team work and collaboration.

Bonus Skills:

• 2nd state exams are a plus

• A passion for data protection, as is relevant professional experience, is almost a must-have. However, we don't necessarily need someone who has already worked as a data protection officer.
