ABOUT THE ROLE

Pliant is currently looking for a Workplace Manager (m/f/d) to join us in our Berlin office and be a driving force in shaping the culture of our brand-new workspace! This is a super exciting opportunity to help build a collaborative and warm environment for our growing team.



It’s an on-site front-of-office position, working from our current office and transitioning into our beautiful new office near Alexanderplatz, featuring stunning city views. We’re planning to move into the new space at the end of this year, and you’ll play a key role in supporting this transition. You’ll also be the face of our new office, helping establish an inviting, efficient, and well-managed environment from day one.



WHAT YOU’LL DO




  • As main front of office point of contact you will coordinate office-wide communication and dissemination of all relevant information to employees

  • Oversee office operations, including inventory management, ordering and coordinating delivery of office supplies (e.g., food, drinks, branding materials, IT equipment), liaising with external vendors, and handling incoming and outgoing mail and packages with accuracy and efficiency. Ensure a clean, well-organized, and fully functional office environment by maintaining furniture, equipment, and overall workspace upkeep.

  • Maintain accurate records of office-related expenditures

  • Help organize and manage work events, including team-building activities, office parties and meetings 

  • Working with the People Team to help onboard new joiners to the business 

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements 

  • Manage a clean and well organised office space, including maintenance of all furniture and equipment 

  • Help to promote a supportive work environment and cultivate a thriving office culture for us all 

  • Coordinate and manage technical setup for weekly All-Hands meetings, ensuring smooth operation of AV equipment and conferencing tools

  • Assist with booking travel and accommodations for employees as needed



WHAT YOU’LL BRING




  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally front of office where you helped set up and implement new processes and procedures

  • Exceptional multitasking skills with ability to manage many projects simultaneously

  • Attention to detail and an ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and handle sensitive information

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.

  • Proficiency with G Suite (Google Workspace) for day-to-day office and team coordination

  • Organizational & Time Management Skills: 

    • Able to juggle multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively.



  • Problem-Solving Mindset:

    • Comfortable managing unexpected challenges calmly and efficiently.



  • Leadership Without Authority:

    • Inspires and influences others through ownership, initiative, and professionalism.
