Prestwick Aircraft Maintenance GmbH is a German company and one of the six Heavy Aircraft Maintenance bases of PAML Group. We Carry out maintenance on Ryanair’s entire fleet of the New Generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft, at our hangar facility located in Hahn Airport, Germany.
Your Future and Career Goal The students will engage in various activities on a live aircraft, specifically focusing on the Boeing 737 Next Generation (737 NG). These activities include:
Performing Tasks: Students will carry out assigned maintenance and operational tasks on the aircraft, gaining practical experience in real-world scenarios.
Conducting Checks: They will be responsible for performing routine and non-routine checks to ensure the aircraft's systems and components are functioning correctly. Accompanying Troubleshooting: Students will assist and learn from experienced technicians during troubleshooting processes, helping to identify and resolve issues.
Participating in Theoretical Trainings: They will attend theoretical training sessions to understand the underlying principles and procedures related to aircraft maintenance and operations.
Using Documentation (AMM, IPC, FIM): Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM): Students will use the Manuals for detailed instructions on performing maintenance work.
Educational Background: Students currently enrolled in an aviation maintenance, aviation engineering, or a related technical program. Students who have completed or are in the process of completing courses related to aircraft systems, maintenance practices, and engineering principles.
Skills and Competencies:
Technical Aptitude: A good understanding of basic mechanical and electrical principles.
Familiarity with Technical Manuals: Basic knowledge of how to use technical documentation such as the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC), and Fault Isolation Manual (FIM), even if not applied practically yet.
Attributes and Attitudes: Detail-oriented, Eager to Learn, Team Player, Problem-Solving Mindset, and Safety Awareness.
Basic Certifications (Optional but Beneficial): Introductory Certifications: While not mandatory, any introductory certifications or training courses in aviation maintenance or related fields can be advantageous.
