Arbeitsbeschreibung - CTO Associate (intern)

Job description

Who We Are
At Omegga, we're on a mission to make a meaningful difference for animal welfare and work towards a sustainable environment. Every year, 7 billion day-old male chicks are killed globally—a practice we aim to end. Our journey started five years ago, driven by passion, creativity, and a deep desire to use our skills to create positive change.

Thanks to the support of our customers, investors, and the European Commission, we’re ready to take the next step. That’s where you come in: help us expand our mission to transform the poultry industry and save billions of chicks. www.omegga.de

Who We Need
Join us in creating the world’s most humane, cost-effective, and innovative solution for determining a chick’s sex before it hatches, using AI and spectroscopy.

As a CTO Associate at Omegga, you will work side by side with our founders, bridging operational objectives with technical execution. Your focus will be on project management and ensuring that complex technical initiatives move from concept to delivery efficiently and effectively. While a formal technical background is not required, an understanding of product development lifecycles, R&D processes, and working with engineering teams is key.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys problem-solving, and can translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Your mission

  • Act as a force-multiplier for the CTO — ensuring priorities are clear, projects stay on track, and decisions turn into action.
  • Coordinate technical projects, timelines, and deliverables across hardware, software, and operations teams.
  • Prepare presentations, decision memos, and documentation for investors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support on strategic initiatives — from supplier negotiations to product rollout planning.
  • Join industry events, customer visits, or supplier meetings with the CTO to represent Omegga.

Your profile

  • A generalist with strong bias to action— you see problems as opportunities and get things done.
  • Proven experience in project management, ideally in a tech, R&D, or product development environment.
  • Ability to break down complex projects into actionable tasks with clear priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects at once.
  • Skilled in tools like Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, and project management/collaboration platforms (e.g. Notion).
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to anticipate issues before they escalate.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work in an environment with evolving priorities.
  • Hands-on mentality — willing to jump into whatever’s needed to make progress.

    Nice to have:

    • Exposure to hardware/software product development process or industrial automation projects. (e.g., prototyping, testing, iteration cycles, hardware/software integration).
    • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
    • Technical knowledge (engineering, software) is a plus, but not required.

Why us?

  • Mission-driven Team: At Omegga, you’re not just an employee—you’re part of a purpose-led journey, working on a solution with a tangible global impact.
  • Competitive Salary: Market-aligned compensation recognizing your skills and contributions.
  • Vacation: 28 paid vacation days per year.
  • Perks: Monthly voucher – choose between 100+ partners (e.g., Urban Sports, D-Ticket, REWE, Rossmann, IKEA).
  • Modern Work Environment: A beautiful office in Munich’s Werksviertel, with up to 50% remote work.
  • Relocation Support: Fully furnished, affordable apartment within 3 minutes walking distance of the office (up to 6 months).
