as Founders Associate Intern (Special Projects), you sit at the founders' side. you work directly with Beni (CEO), Niklas (COO) and Shane (CTO) on the problems that don't have an owner yet. hiring, partnerships, operations, product, strategy: whatever the week needs, you take a piece of it and run. one week it's building a candidate pipeline for our next engineering hires, the next it's shaping how we tell opus's story to the market. and you don't wait to be told which problem to pick up. this is a founder residency for anyone serious about building companies: you'll see how a category-defining AI company actually gets built, and shape it while you do.
Tasks
🎯 The impact you will have
- work directly with the founders on the problems that matter. Beni, Niklas and Shane bring you into the projects they don't have time to run themselves. strategy, ops, product, hiring, whatever the week demands. you take a piece and own it end to end.
- turn ambiguity into shipped work. you get problems, not task lists. you write the plan, execute it, and don't need to be chased for progress. the founders find out how it went in the update, not in the meeting.
- build the systems opus runs on. hiring pipelines, onboarding docs, reporting cadences, internal knowledge. One intern built the GTM foundation opus still uses. Another built the hiring engine. you build what comes next.
- turn research into decisions. market, customers, competitors, potential hires, potential partners. you dig, you write it up in a memo the founders can act on in ten minutes, and the decision gets made because of your work.
- make the founders sharper. every deck you prep, every KPI you clean up, every memo you write is one less thing the founders have to think about. the leverage of the company runs through you.
Requirements

- prior experience in high pace environments. a startup internship, an MBB or IB stint, a side project you scaled. if you've seen high-intensity work before, you ramp faster. if not, ambition compensates.
- AI-native by default. Claude for memos, Cursor for prototypes, whatever workflow gets it done fastest. if a task takes an hour and could take ten minutes, you find the ten-minute version.
