As an Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in import compliance, customs operations, and global trade processes within a real industrial environment. You will work closely with experienced customs professionals and support daily operations as well as regulatory and system-related initiatives.\n\nWhat You\u2019ll Get: \n\n * Insight into the activities of a global organization and an international working environment \n\n\n * attractive compensation package \n\n\n * flexible and modern work as well as development and further training opportunities \n\n\n * 35 hours/ week \n\n\n * creative freedom in the implementation of projects and good supervision \n\n\n * discounted lunch in the cafeteria \n\n\n\nYour Responsibilities:\n\n * Support daily import customs operations (EU imports, free circulation, inward processing)\n * Assist with customs declarations and data checks in SAP GTS\n * Help monitor and validate customs-relevant master data (tariff classification, origin, preference)\n * Support customs audits and internal reviews, including document preparation and data extraction\n * Assist with Country of Origin-related data collection and analysis\n * Support the customs team in process documentation, work instructions, and training material\n * Collaborate with internal stakeholders (logistics, receiving departments, finance, IT)\n * Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives within Global Trade\n\n\n\nWhat skills you need: \n\n * Enrolled Bachelor student in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field\n * Confident communication skills in English; German is an advantage\n * Good Microsoft Excel skills\n * Interest in customs, international trade, and regulatory compliance\n * Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail\n * Structured and reliable working style\n * Basic understanding of import/export processes and first experience with SAP (especially SAP GTS) is a plus, but not required\n\n\n\nNo matter who you are - you are welcome at John Deere!
