Intern (m/f/d) Launch Systems Engineering

Your Tasks

• Contribute to the development of launch systems from concept to manufacturing (end-to-end)


• Work with the Launch team to set and define requirements for various work packages across different projects


• Clearly document work packages and requirements, according to company standards


• Design and analysis of major sub-systems of the launch site and vehicle interfaces (i.e. mechanical, fluidic, electrical systems)


• Integration, troubleshooting and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems (from the office and potentially on site)


• Conduct hands-on testing, gather data, and analyze results

Your Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Aerospace, Mechanical, Fluid Processes, Civil Engineering, or a related field for the duration of the internship


• Demonstrated experience working with complex multidisciplinary projects (i.e. in student rocketry or automotive teams)


• Able to identify the big picture and the different levels of complexity of the launch site systems


• Capable of working independently, while prioritizing various tasks


• Experience with CAD (preferably Siemens NX), P&IDs, or programming skills (Excel VBA, Python, Matlab) are a plus


• Fluent in written and spoken English


• Hands-on experience with tools and equipment in a lab or manufacturing setting
