Huawei's Munich Research Center is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.

The Advanced Wireless Technology Lab (AWTL) is responsible for research activities towards the definition and development of mobile network technologies and communication systems for vertical industries. AWTL has been engaging with multiple research and standardization activities, including participating to European Commission funded research projects of Horizon 2020 framework, contributing to industrial communication fora as 5G-AA, 5G-ACIA, transferring technologies to standardization bodies like 3GPP, ETSI, GSMA, NGMN, and developing in-house experimental platforms, prototypes and proof of concepts on wireless and networking technologies. Recently, AWTL focus has shifted to next generation (6G) wireless networks and technologies, towards 2030.

Your mission

The advent of 6G mobile networks promises unprecedented connectivity and provides native-AI services under fully intelligent and autonomous network operations across edge, core and data centers. 6G system evolves from a pure connectivity infrastructure to a distributed data processing platform offering data-driven applications (such as AI agent deployment and communications). This internship focuses on exploring and summarizing the state-of-the-art techniques to build an interoperable, secure and trustworthy distributed data-driven system in 6G. The intern will also contribute to the research activities for building data-driven agentic (e.g., LLM-based multi-agent) system in 6G as well.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct literature reviews on relevant topics, including 6G technologies, distributed systems, data processing, security and privacy methodologies and related areas.


• Contribute to LLM-related development such as training, inference and fine-tuning for agentic systems


• Collaborate with other researchers within the team on relevant topics.


• Participate in regular project meetings and discussions.


• Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and potentially scientific publications.

Your areas of expertise

• BSc/Master in computer science, data science, statistics, telecommunication or other related disciplines


• Broad / profound experience of computer networking, distributed system, data modeling, processing, data security and privacy protection techniques


• Familiar with LLM architecture and development


• Knowledge of standardization


• Excellent in written and spoken English
