International Trainee - Finance & Controlling (m/f/d)

In our International Trainee Program Finance & Controlling, you will rotate regularly through various finance and controlling departments, gaining deep insights into the financial management of a globally operating automotive supplier. The program combines on-the-job training, structured mentoring, and project-based learning - equipping you with the skills, network, and confidence to grow into roles that match your strengths.
Your Journey:
- Rotations across operational and strategic Finance & Controlling functions: You will explore a wide range of Finance & Controlling areas — building expertise, uncovering your strengths, and shaping a career path that fits your ambitions.
- International assignment (3–6 months) at one of our global locations (USA, China, Europe): Expand your skills in an international environment and actively participate in global projects.
- Individual specialization: Choose your personal focus and develop further in your area of interest (e.g. Group Accounting, Reporting or Plant Controlling).
- Independent project work with increasing complexity: Take on a challenging project, present your results to management, and actively shape the future of our company.
- Personal support from a mentor and buddy: Benefit from continuous support and valuable feedback to optimally foster your professional and personal development.
What makes you a great fit:
Education:
- Above-average Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a comparable field
- Focus areas in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, or Auditing are advantageous
Experience:
- At least 6 months of relevant internship experience in finance (cumulative), ideally in the automotive or supplier industry
- Proven international experience of at least 3 months (study, internship, or similar), as well as willingness to work in an international environment
- Maximum 1–2 years of work experience after completing your Master’s degree
Professional Skills:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS, HGB)
- Confident use of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- SAP FI skills desirable
- Interest in digitalization, data analytics, and process optimization
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken

- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain financial matters to top management
