Internship Early-Stage Investment Team (f/d/m) (Spring 2026)

HV Capital has invested in around 225 internet and technology companies, supporting startups with ticket sizes ranging from €0.5 to €60m. It is one of Europe's few venture capital firms that can finance startups through all growth phases. HV Capital has a team of more than 40 investment and operations professionals who provide a variety of perspectives and expertise across the venture capital landscape.

We are hiring one Early Investment intern in Munich: the position will start in Q1 2026.

What Will You Work On?

• Uncovering and Researching Potential Investments: You will investigate industry trends, gather relevant company data from media sources, and conduct thorough market research.

• Analysis and Hypothesis Development: You will demonstrate your financial acumen by developing financial models, analysing business plans, and creating investment hypotheses.

• Collaboration with Investment Managers: You will be involved in our deal flow, preparing for and attending meetings with potential portfolio companies, and assisting with portfolio management.

• Crafting Reports and Presentations: You will simplify complex data into clear presentations and reports for our investment team and management.

• Contributing to Our Knowledge Base: You will research specific topics to enhance our internal knowledge database and your learning.

• Relevant Experience: We welcome previous internships or work experience, esp. in top-tier consulting or startups - however, this is not a strict requirement as we value your analytical skills, ambition and inquisitiveness.

• Educational Background: You are currently pursuing or have completed a Master’s degree — or between degrees. Strong academic performance is valued, but not a strict requirement.

• An Enthusiastic Learner: We value intellectual curiosity, strategic mindset and a passion for startups

• Analytical Savvy: Demonstrate your ability to analyse complex information, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.

• Communication and Synthesis Skills: Can you simplify complex data into clear insights? Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Independent and Driven: We support an autonomous work environment where quick productivity and independence are critical.

• Language and Skills Proficiency: Proficiency in English is essential, while a working knowledge of German is beneficial. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are necessary.
