Mandatory Internship: Distributed Systems

Mode of Employment: Limited, full time

As a mandatory intern at Siemens, you have the unique opportunity to contribute your strengths in a diverse range of tasks and gain practical experience

Your tasks – challenging and future oriented

• Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies in distributed computing, including big data and stream processing
• Design, implement, and deploy container-based microservices on Kubernetes for cloud and edge
• Integrate open-source LLMs and agent AI stacks with Kubernetes, focusing on performance, scalability, and resource-efficiency
• Develop observability tools for distributed systems to enhance troubleshooting
• Contribute to a vision of self-diagnosing, self-healing, and self-optimizing distributed systems (resilient, adaptive, and continuously improving).

Your qualifications – solid and adequate

• You have experience with software development with Python, Java, or C++
• You have experience with Linux environments and fundamental containerization principles
• You have knowledge of parallel and distributed algorithms, applications, and systems
• You are familiar with distributed systems design and microservices architecture
• You have a passion for solving complex technology challenges and curiosity about modern trends in informatics.
