Democracy Reporting International (DRI) is a non-partisan, independent, not-for-profit organisation registered in Berlin with several country offices worldwide. DRI promotes political participation of citizens, accountability of state bodies, and the development of democratic institutions worldwide.
DRI is currently recruiting a full-time intern for its Headquarters in Berlin. Under the supervision of the Programme Coordinator and in close collaboration with the project teams, the intern will provide support with administrative tasks, event coordination, and communication activities. In addition, the intern may contribute to business development efforts, research, and documentation. They will also support the implementation of ongoing projects across DRI’s thematic areas in the MENA region and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Your tasks
- Conduct background research and contribute to drafting reports, concept notes, briefs, on democracy, human rights, and governance issues.
- Support the planning and logistics of events, workshops, and online meetings, including participant outreach, documentation, and follow-up.
- Help draft and edit social media content, newsletters, and website updates to highlight project activities and achievements.
- Provide general administrative support, such as scheduling, minute-taking, and maintaining project records and databases.
The intern may also be assigned additional tasks relevant to their skills and the evolving needs of the team.
