Junior Business Analyst/ Working Student in Energy Trading and Risk Management (m/f/d)

You will be part of a small consulting team that supports international companies in energy trading and risk management. We have a strong operational and customer oriented focus i.e. we become part of our customers' teams to cover their daily operations (from deal entry through pricing until invoicing) and push the business forward by implementing new software components. Additionally we develop our own real-time engine ovoTander. In particular we need your support in testing our new software components and in assisting us during our daily routines to meet our clients‘ demands. With growing experience and deeper insight into the complexity of trading systems you will start analyzing and optimising our clients‘ business processes on your own. We practise „remote first“, so you will work 100% from home. Still, it would help if you were located near to us (wider area around Berlin or Dresden) in particular during the onboarding phase. Also, traveling to and working on-site with our customers should be fine for you as it will happen only infrequently.

• describe new business requirements together with our clients and create appropriate test cases for our developers
• support daily operations within the trading systems of our clients
• test our reports and automated workflows around the trading activities of our customers
• become responsible for our new software packages from the initial specification to final testing and be first contact person for the customer after go-live

• strong interest to learn both: business context in detail, but also technical aspects for smooth communication with developers
• math and data enthusiast: Numerical calculation and big data analysis belong to your favorite disciplines
• entrepreneurial mindset: be solution oriented, take initiative and have high sense of responsibility
• elaborate communication skills as you will work directly with our clients
• you are a student in your final year or bachelor in industrial engineering, economics or similar with broad mathematical curriculum
• English: B2 level
