Your area of work

The Compliance Function works in close coordination with the individual business units and other group control functions to ensure compliance with national and international laws, rules, and regulations applicable to various units of the Deutsche Börse Group and its business activities. The Compliance Function has a proactive role in the identification of possible compliance or reputational risks, including those that may arise in connection with new activities and products. Group Compliance defines group-wide compliance standards, supports their consistent application within the group entities, and provides centralized services. 

As a Working Student (f/m/d) Analytics & Monitoring you will gain hands-on experience in building AI/ML solutions using cutting-edge technologies like LLMs/Agentic AI, Machine Learning & Data bricks, etc.  While contributing to impactful projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment to enhance the transaction monitoring framework to identify cases related to money laundering, terrorist financing and criminal offences to fulfill legal requirements. You will support the end-to-end development of AI/ML use cases—from ideation to production.

Your responsibilities:

• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to take AI use cases from ideation to production


• You will support evaluation of ML/AI use cases , Proof-of-Concept (PoC) development for selected use cases


• You will assist in designing and implementing ML pipelines, including data preprocessing, model training, and deployment


• You will explore and apply GenAI/Agentic AI frameworks where applicable


• You will do document findings, model performance, and implementation steps for internal knowledge sharing

Your profile:

• You are currently enrollment in a master’s program in Computer Science, Data Science, ML/AI, or a related field at a German university


• You have at least 2 years of prior work experience in data science, or AI/ML projects


• You have a strong foundation in Machine Learning , Neural Networks & LLMs


• You are experienced with Python, ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch), and data handling tools


• You having prior experience in building Agents using LLMs will be a plus


• You have strong SQL and exploratory data analysis skills. Prior work in time series analysis techniques will be a plus


• You are able to work independently and take ownership of tasks


• You are fluent in English
