Working Student Pre-Development Sun Care (all genders)

Your Tasks

Within the Pre-Development Sun Care department, new technologies and application formats for Beiersdorf's sun care brands are developed. As a student assistant, you will have the opportunity to contribute to development projects within a dedicated and highly motivated team. You will gain valuable insights into the work of an international cosmetics company and develop in-depth knowledge of cosmetic product formulation and development. 

• Daily routine work in the Research & Development laboratory


• Preparation and optimization of various formulation bases on a laboratory scale using computerized weighing software 


• Performing and evaluating analytical and formulation assessments, including: Viscosity measurements, PH measurements, Stability evaluations 


• Learning and applying methods for assessing the efficacy of cosmetic products 


• Optimization of existing testing procedures 


• Gaining deeper insights into the mode of action and development of sun protection products

Your Profile

• Currently enrolled in a science-related degree program at a university or university of applied sciences (e.g., Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field)


• Enrolled as a student throughout the entire period of employment 


• Previous practical experience, for example in analytical chemistry, is an advantage 


• Flexible and a strong team player 


• Open-minded and communicative 


• Careful and structured working style with strong analytical skills 


• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications 


• The role requires partial on-site presence in line with company regulations.


• Good German and/or English language skills
