Your Tasks

Do you enjoy turning numbers into business insights? Would you like to learn how a financial controlling team supports an executive board member’s decision making? Then join our Regional Business Controlling team at Beiersdorf’s headquarters in Hamburg!

In this Working Student role, you will gain hands-on experience in a global skin-care company, working with key financial performance drivers such as net sales, revenue, gross margin, and other statement-of-income KPIs. You will build analytical tools and perform ad-hoc analyses in Excel to answer real-world questions from senior management. Supported by an experienced team, you’ll build a solid foundation for a future career with the potential to continue your professional growth at Beiersdorf.

The things you will get to work on: 

• Support the team in analyzing business performance across Europe and North America (e.g. net sales, revenue, gross margin and related KPIs)


• Help calculate, track, and explain financial KPIs and performance variances (actuals vs. plan/forecast)


• Contribute to management reports and presentations for the Executive Board (in close collaboration with the team)


• Build and improve Excel-based analytical tools, dashboards, and reporting templates to make insights faster and more reliable


• Prepare ad-hoc analyses to answer business questions and support decision-making (especially with Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools)


• Take ownership of smaller projects and drive them independently after onboarding

Your Profile

• Enrolled Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling or a related field


• Strong analytical skills, structured thinking, and a high attention to detail


• Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel), SAP knowledge is plus


• Fluent in English


• A collaborative team player with an international mindset and a hands-on attitude
