Your mission

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Lab Assistant to support our team developing next-generation lithium-sulfur battery technology. The ideal candidate will have a chemical background and practical lab experience, with a strong focus on safety, organization, and efficiency. You will support daily lab operations, including cell preparation, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and safety checks.

Your tasks

Maintain and clean laboratory areas and glassware
Assist pouch cell assembly according to established procedures
Prepare pouch, coin, and Swagelok cell parts for testing and experimentation
Manage chemical inventory and laboratory consumables
Check and replace gas cylinders and ensure proper storage and availability
Calibrate laboratory equipment according to established procedures and schedules
Support equipment maintenance, including but not limited to TGA, SEM, and DSC
Perform routine laboratory safety checks, including fume hood suction, filter inspection/replacement, eyewash and emergency shower checks, and chemical waste management

Your profile

Absolute-Must-Haves

Proficient in German and English - our company language is English, incl. all internal communication and meetings. You will be contacting external technicians in German.
Chemical background or relevant qualification (degree or certificate)
Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience
Available to start as soon as possible

Good-to-haves

Flexibility in working hours
Experience in a battery laboratory
