Arbeitsbeschreibung - Development Engineer Nano-Paste (f/m/d)

Development of low cost and non-toxic pastes for screen printing application based on nanoparticles leading to solar cells and battery cells.
Definition of new or optimized processes and equipment from idea to mass volume manufacturing.
Definition, testing and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators for Pastes, from incoming materials to final pastes in a production database.
Specification of lab, pilot line or mass volume manufacturing equipment, processes, and materials to enable paste manufacturing at low cost.
Setup of safe working environments including all relevant documentation for lab, pilot line, and manufacturing.
Participation or set up and guidance of internal or external (publicly funded) joint projects for material, process, and equipment development.
Planning, execution and evaluation of internally or externally executed experiments until final implementation of new processes into volume manufacturing.
Root cause analysis of process and equipment deviations, set up of corrective action measures to improve process and equipment.
Technical analysis of quotes for equipment, process and materials, generation of decision proposals.
Close cooperation with all internal and external teams and stakeholders.
Independent appropriation of state-of-the-art technology regarding paste materials, processes, and equipment for battery and solar cell production.

Strong Master’s degree in chemistry, process engineering, materials engineering, physics or related field. Ph.D. is a plus.
Work experience in PV, battery, coating, or ink industry, nanoparticle generation, hot injection processing, screen printing or similar.
Industry experience in a related field, ideally as a development or process engineer.
Team player who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment.
Methodic competences are helpful (Data Evaluation, FMEA, DOE, SPC, MS Office etc.)
English spoken and written at a professional level. German and / or Swedish is a plus.
Curiosity and willingness to experiment and improve our tools and processes for knowledge sharing.
Openness to travel and support experiments in other locations on a regular basis.
