Arbeitsbeschreibung - People Operations Specialist in part-time (f/m/d)
We are seeking an experienced People Operations Specialist to manage key aspects of the employee lifecycle in our German and UK offices. In this part-time role, you’ll handle employment contracts, executive compensation, benefits, payroll coordination, and support initiatives like biannual performance reviews.
Ideally, you are skilled with HRM, ATS, employee engagement tools, and Notion, and have expertise in German labor law (UK knowledge is a plus). With a structured yet empathetic approach, you’ll ensure smooth HR operations and a great employee experience.
You’ll be supported by our Senior HR Manager and mentored by the VP of People & Community in this impactful, flexible role.

Draft and manage employment contracts and set up employee policies.
Oversee local payroll processes and coordinate with external vendors like labor lawyers or SaaS tool account managers.
Ensure compliance with German and UK labor laws.
Manage HR tools, including HRM, ATS, and employee engagement platforms.
Support broader HR functions, such as business partnering and recruitment.
Leverage people analytics to inform and support decision-making.
Proven experience in people operations within an international startup, scale-up, financial services, or corporate environment.
Expertise in German labor law and familiarity with UK labor law.
Strong communication skills and a structured, data-driven approach.
A passion for digital tools and systems, with hands-on experience in HR platforms.
Fluency in English and German (C1 or higher).
Flexibility for occasional travel to our office hubs and work authorization for Germany.
