Who we're looking for

We are seeking a Business Controlling Intern to join our dynamic Finance team in Italy.
You will actively support the Finance team as a business partner, playing an important role in the month-end closing process, budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis, and cost-control activities. Your contribution will help complete the overall reporting for the legal entities and ensure compliance with internal and group deadlines.

What you'll do

Monitor and analyze business performance, including revenue streams, costs, and profit margins across different business units and regions
Assist in executing business and cost control processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting
Support teams in maintaining budgets, forecasts, and financial targets aligned with strategic objectives
Conduct regular variance analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improving revenue generation and cost management
Help prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and insights for senior management and stakeholders to support decision-making
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

What you'll need

Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Business and Cost Controlling within the services industry, ideally in Technology or Advertising
Solid understanding of revenue recognition principles and cost structures
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis techniques
Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
Advanced Excel skills; experience with NAV and consolidation tools (e.g., Tagetik, HFM) is a plus
Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required — please submit your CV in English
Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights
Assertive, proactive, and collaborative approach, with strong business partnering skills for effective work across diverse international teams and stakeholders
Results-oriented mindset, able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
