Student Assistant (Communications)

The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) is a non-profit organization founded to provide first-rate, unbiased research and technical and scientific analysis to environmental regulators. Our mission is to improve the environmental performance and energy efficiency of road, marine, and air transportation, in order to benefit public health and mitigate climate change.  

The ICCT office in Berlin, Germany, is seeking a student assistant (in German: "Werkstudent" / "studentische Hilfskraft") to support the European team on a range of projects relating to light-duty vehicles, heavy-duty vehicles, marine and aviation policy, as well as administrative tasks as necessary. 

Qualifications and expected tasks 

• Ongoing studies in journalism, communications, social sciences or other related field (currently enrolled student)


• Experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required
  


• Excellent writing and communication skills
  


• Intellectually curious, self-organized and self-driven attitude required  


• Interest in social media content creation (e.g., graphics, infographics, simple video clips)   


• Support in monitoring media coverage and updating the media database regularly
  


• Assist in developing and maintaining stakeholder contact lists
  


• Proficiency in English required
  


• Interest in the European climate or transport policies desirable

This is a part-time position (10-20 hours/week) and is contingent on current matriculation at a university. The hourly renumeration is 14-16€, depending on experience.
