We are currently looking for a Hausmann (Linen Porter) to join our Berlin Housekeeping team temporarily. We are open to both full-time and part-time applications, so whether you’re looking for a full schedule or a few days a week, we’d be happy to hear from you!

Reporting to our Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for providing brilliant and genuinely helpful customer service for every guest looking to stay in The Hoxton, Charlottenburg.

Our first Hoxton in Germany is home to 234 bedrooms of varying sizes, a ground floor restaurant, Lobby bar and streetside terrace and The Apartment – our unique meetings and events concept.

More about us...

The Hoxton is a series of open-house hotels, each in a neighbourhood that we love. Ever since we opened our first hotel in Shoreditch, we’ve never just been about offering a bed for the night. We want to be more than that: proving style doesn’t need to be sacrificed for good value and providing a place where guests can hang out alongside the locals and submerse themselves in the neighbourhood with vibrant, welcoming public space

What you’ll do…

• To be responsible for the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms, ensuring that these are always cleaned to brand standards, and are well presented and maintained.
• To oversee the delivery and collection of linen and terry on a daily basis.
• To be responsible for the stocking of linen and housekeeping supplies on guest floors and in stores, and to ensure that these storage areas are clean and well maintained.
• To ensure guest floors are clean and well maintained at all times.
• To assist with other tasks to support the housekeeping team as required.
• To ensure that all Health and Safety standards are adhered to and any breaches in standards are reported to the Head Housekeeper.
• To ensure all cleaning materials are handled correctly and to be fully aware of COSHH regulations.
• To attend all training sessions required.
• To maintain a positive and friendly attitude at all times, even when working, to find solutions to challenges.
• To provide the highest level of customer care, and to provide a friendly, helpful and responsive level of service for our guests.

What we’re looking for…

• Good communication skills (German and English favorable) to ensure smooth teamwork.
• You have the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
• You're keen on the details and ensuring our rooms are to the highest standards for our guests.
• Go and do attitude - We are in it together!
• You’re up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once
• If we get stuck in a lift together, we’d have a good time and share a few laughs
• You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and has fun along the way

What’s in it for you…

• The opportunity to join an innovative, fast-growing, international group that’s committed to not just building new hotels but building a global brand.
• 24 holidays (plus bank holidays) and extra time off to volunteer with one of our partner charities.
• A competitive package, plenty of opportunity for development and rewards for going the extra mile and living our values.
• The chance to challenge the norm and work in an environment that is both creative and rewarding.
• Become part of a team that’s very passionate about creating great hospitality experiences and building a portfolio of brands.
• Enjoy a free night at The Hoxton and a meal for two when you first start with us.
• Great discounts across the entire Ennismore family.
• Lots of opportunity to progress and switch it up as part of a global family of brands.
• Regular team get togethers, from our team drinks to our (pretty special!) bi-annual parties – we know how to have a good time!
• An annual diversity and inclusion calendar of events creating opportunities for you to learn, celebrate and make a positive impact.
• We’ve got your commute covered — no stress getting to work.
• Meal vouchers to keep you fueled while on shift.
