Your mission


About the Role
We are hiring a working student for our Research & Development team in Berlin-Tempelhof (up to 20 h per week). You will work directly with the R&D Engineer and the VP R&D, helping to draft and update compile test plans, analyse incoming data, and prepare clear documentation for internal reviews and regulatory submissions. Tasks also include researching standards such as ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 and coordinating design updates with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and our engineering colleagues in China. The position is fully on-site, remote work is not possible and suits students who prefer structured, detail-oriented desk work without lab activities. Job description (duties and responsibilities):
  • Support the R&D Engineering team in the design, development, and testing of medical device components. 
  • Assist in the collection, analysis, and documentation of test data, including the preparation of comprehensive test reports.
  • Conduct literature reviews and benchmark analyses of existing technologies to inform design decisions and innovation strategies. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Sales & Marketing, and Engineering to ensure alignment across product development stages. 
  • Provide technical support and coordination with the engineering team in China, facilitating effective communication and issue resolution. 




Your profile



Qualification (education and work experience):  
  • Enrolled in at least the 4th semester of a Bachelor’s or any stage of a Master’s programme in Biomedical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. 
  • Certification – This position is suitable for students enrolled at a German university. Certification for student employment can be provided upon request for submission to the university or immigration office. 
  • Familiar with med-tech standards (ISO 13485, ISO 14971). 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Proficient in MS Office; CAD or Python skills are a plus. 
  • Good command of English / Chinese (both written and oral communication)  
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. 
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and knowledge seeking individuals.  
  • This position is well-suited for candidates currently pursuing a master’s degree in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
