Business Development Analyst

We are growing and looking to recruit a Full-time Business Development Analyst in our Cyprus office - a certified Great Place to Work®.

Reporting to: Head of Business Development

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive threats within the Forex industry
• Analyse customer data, market dynamics, and sales performance to provide insights and recommendations for optimising business development strategies
• Identify areas where technology or the customer journey are not sufficiently enabling performance
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Business Development to develop and execute strategic initiatives aimed at driving revenue growth and market expansion
• Support the development of financial models and forecasts to assess the viability and potential impact of new business opportunities
• Facilitate the sharing of business development knowledge and best practices between different regions
• Identify and collate product issues and challenges encountered by all BD teams, and escalate them to the Product team for resolution
• Prepare presentations, reports, and other materials for internal stakeholders and external partners

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in business development, market research, or strategic analysis, preferably within the financial services industry
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data and translate it into meaningful insights and actions for the BD team
• Proficient in market research techniques to assess and analyze market opportunities
• Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Fluent English (additional languages will be considered an advantage) 

Preferred Qualifications (but not essential):

• Knowledge of the Forex market and trading platforms
• Understanding of trading/exchange technology, compliance/regulatory changes, and their business impact

• Interview with People Function (45 min - 1 hour) to assess match to our culture and company
• Interview with future direct report (45 min - 1 hour) to assess suitability for the role and overall fit within team
• Final interview with future direct report (45 min - 1 hour) that is focused on a case study or similar to test technical understanding and competency
