Job Description - IT Support Engineer

Lavipharm is seeking an IT Support Engineer , to support IT Infrastructure. As an IT Support Engineer you will be accountable for resolving everyday technical issues, configuring new workstations, and maintaining the company's operational IT status.

For the role, is essential the fundamental grasp of technical terms like Active Directory, Routing & Switching, and Endpoint security.

Responsibilities

  • Taking charge of various projects and seeing them through from start to finish.
  • Collaborating with team members to brainstorm innovative solutions
  • Providing technical guidance and training to end-users as needed.
  • Managing and prioritizing multiple tasks to meet deadline expectations.
  • Tracking progress and providing regular updates to the supervisor.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and suggesting solutions for the greater success of the team.
  • Performs repairs on office system devices (PCs, monitors, printers, etc.)
  • Makes ICT recommendations for improvement and upgrades .
  • Provides technical support - identifies, investigates, and resolves users’ problems.
  • Applies knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve various problems.
  • Collaborates with other employees to research and resolve problems.
  • Arranges service by software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products.
  • Develops and communicates department projects and goals.
  • Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends.
  • Generates document changes and revisions.
  • Demonstrate basic networking skills and knowledge, including backup.
  • Sets up and supports VPN connections.
  • Installs and supports platforms for various online meetings (Webex, Zoom, Teams, etc.)

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science is required.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills are a must.
  • Advanced troubleshooting capabilities for Microsoft client software (Windows, Office) are necessary.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for ERP client-side requests/issues are expected.
  • A basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS) is necessary.
  • Basic knowledge of supporting the implementation of cybersecurity measures is required.
  • Basic knowledge of other MS software (Active Directory, Windows Server Administration, SQL, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience in an Industrial IT environment is considered an advantage.
  • Team player with a friendly and sociable demeanor.
  • Enthusiasm for IT technologies and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Understanding of corporate environments.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving.
