Marks & Spencer is one of the largest Retail Companies with a leading position in the domestic and international market, we are looking for a professional to cover the position of the Senior Business Data Analyst .

The purpose of this position is to support decision-making at company level, by providing accurate and timely data and to analyze all market, sales and operational data on country, store, category and product level so as to provide Management with useful and accurate information for strategic and tactical decision making.

What will your typical day to day look like? You will:

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance dynamic reports and dashboards using BI tools, BW, and Excel.
• Analyze complex datasets from all business units and sales channels (B2B, MSFood, Flagship) to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
• Consistently monitor all sales activities, assessing the ROI from each product category or project, providing useful information for past and future decisions.
• Monitor KPIs & GM Data and conduct investigations on the driving forces of the performance to present and report them to the Country Manager and other stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of financial models, forecasts, and budgets and ad-hoc reports as needed. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with departmental heads to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure data accuracy and system integration for seamless reporting.

Drive Future commercial trends: 

• Investigate customer purchasing behavior through transaction receipts analysis as well as other types of analysis and propose justifiable actions.
• Producing Hypothesis & What if scenarios based on the commercial performance & store KPI analysis towards assisting with sales increase and profitability initiatives.
• Create a market intelligence report for all competitors as well as analyze the Clothing market on a regular level comparing competitors’ vis a vis each store’s competitiveness (through all available online and offline data as well as observation).

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα

• 3+ years of working experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role, preferably within the retail industry.
• Proven experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), Business Warehouse (BW), and advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency in SQL and other data querying languages.
• Ability to deliver presentations of modeling results and project proposals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation both in Greek and in English.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
