Supply Chain Specialist

The Job:

• Manage the daily ordering process to multiple suppliers/3PL to ensure on time and in full deliveries to the stores.
• Provide support on ordering guidelines to the stores.
• Coordinate and facilitate deliveries of products.
• Be responsible for covering stores’ requests on an ad hoc basis by utilizing wisely existing providers to meet budget.
• Follow deadlines closely and ensure timely transportation of cargos.
• Control invoices and ensure proper feed-in system data, while correcting any mistakes and proceeding to communications appropriately.
• Handle stores’ inventory count every month by providing data to stores and cross-checking stores’ inputs for discrepancies.
• Drive and implement small projects concerning inventory management.
• Manage the exports of frozen, dairy, and dry cargos to Cyprus.
• Be responsible for reporting and analysis of data to facilitate improvements in cost and service management.
• Establish and maintain supportive relationships with customers, suppliers, and team partners to ensure effective communication of delivery and inventory issues.
• Work with operations management team, third-party logistics providers and local suppliers and resolve high-level internal or external issues to ensure efficient store order management, for both regular supplies and promotional items.
• Participate in cross functional teams to ensure understanding of products, availability within required timelines and satisfactory delivery of goods as ordered.
• Uses system tools to analyze inventory and supply stores appropriately, effectively, and efficiently.
• Support the stores to resolve issues related to SAP system.
• Investigate opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality and prepare proposals for future growth. Conduct market research for new suppliers if needed.

The Candidate:

The candidates should have:

• BA in business administration, logistics or relevant field.
• 1-2 years of progressive experience in supply chain operations.
• The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing in Greek and English.
• The ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines, work under pressure and deal with unpredictable situations.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP or any other ERP will be considered as an asset.
