Backend software engineer

We are a new company founded in 2021, with many years of experience in retail and e-commerce services. With a fresh philosophy, vision and attitude, we created an innovative e-commerce platform, SHOPFLIX, with the aim of providing the best experience for each user throughout the shopping journey, before and after each purchase.

To help us build functional systems that improve customer experience we are looking for a PHP Software Engineer. The ideal candidate will be an energetic person who will help drive our way to microservices, microapps and reengineering of our platform.

Objectives of this Role:

• Build complex & high scalable technical solutions in close cooperation with the Tech Lead and the Product Lead as well as the product manager
• Draft architectural decisions and ensure reliable and state-of-the-art products
• Work in a team of engineers and collaborate with product managers, QAs, and with Architects to ship new components and features
• Work within a stable environment with an agile working culture using methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban
• Work in an agile team with flat hierarchies and very short decision-making process

Responsibilities:

• Be part of a team of engineers that craft out backend API endpoints
• Give and receive feedback in the form of code reviews
• Create performant and scalable solutions using PHP 7/8

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience as a PHP software engineer or similar software engineering role
• Proficient with git and git workflows
• Working knowledge of SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL )
• Problem-solving attitude
• Collaborative team spirit
• Knowledge of caching technics and patterns
• Great knowledge of REST and contract-based development

Will be considered a plus:

• Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Reactive programming with PHP
