FP Markets Group of Companies is a well-established, globally regulated Australian broker offering traders access to CFDs across Forex, Indices, Commodities, Stocks and Cryptocurrencies. We are growing and looking to recruit a Full-time Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in our Cyprus office - a certified Great Place to Work®.
The CTO at FP Markets will be an experienced leader responsible for the technological trajectory and product innovation across the company. Responsible for a global team of IT professionals, the CTO will ensure that the technology strategy is robust, innovative, and seamlessly integrated with the overall company goals. The company is on a strong growth trajectory and has ambitions to scale further and accelerate growth sustainably in the coming years.
This role demands a deep understanding of wide-ranging IT knowledge, with preference of high-load fintech / payments / FX / CFD solutions and solid experience as a system architect . Continued hands-on experience is expected from a leader who will stay actively engaged with programming, modern technology stacks, and the activities of the respective IT teams.

Team: 2 direct reports, 30 employees in teams
Responsibilities:
- Develop, lead, and ensure the execution of the technology vision and strategy across all levels, ensuring alignment with business goals and the execution of strategic planning
- Manage the technology structure, drive business transformation and execute continuous innovation within the company
- Deliver key technological projects and products, ensuring the company remains technologically agile with next generation capabilities in a rapidly shifting global marketplace
- Improve and adjust company-wide processes to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness in business operations
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive financial data and ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Build and maintain an ecosystem of trust with one team united with a common mission and purpose
- Drive internal alignment and collaborate strategically and operationally with cross-departmental teams
- Provide a robust technological architecture and identify the most appropriate IT partners that can ensure future-proof innovation – for the benefit of both company and customers
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team capable of delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Promote a performance-based culture, support transparent communication, and establish people practices and processes within the technology function
Candidate Profile:
- At least 5 years as a CIO/CTO or in a similar leadership role in technology within a fintech or software development company and a minimum of 10 years overall in technology companies
- Demonstrated track record of successful technology implementations and business transformation initiatives
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management practices, and compliance frameworks
- Prior experience in innovative, fast-paced fintech environments where technology is a critical driver of business profitability (e.g. high-load solutions, payment systems, trading)
- Experience in a leadership role within the financial services or ecommerce industry, particularly involving retail clients
- Comprehensive knowledge of software and product development, digitalization and innovations
- Previous experience as a systems architect is highly-valued
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, with an ability to manage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of financial markets, trading systems, and ideally regulatory requirements relevant to the Forex industry
- Previous experience in working in an EMI
