Information Security Analyst 

We are seeking for a skilled Information Security Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of information security principles, technologies, and best practices. The Information Security Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, as well as implementing security measures to protect our organization's systems and data.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain security tools and technologies, such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems, endpoint security solutions, and network monitoring tools.
• Continuous monitoring of security tools, logs, and alerts to identify potential security incidents or threats.
• Analyze security events to determine their impact and escalate as necessary.
• Lead or participate in incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Document all incident response activities and contribute to post-incident reports for analysis and improvement.
• Stay up to date on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends relevant to the telecommunications industry.
• Fine-tuning of security tools towards more effective detection and prevention mechanisms.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential risks and weaknesses.
• Collaborate with relevant teams and provide advisory to remediate vulnerabilities and implement necessary security patches and updates or provide guidance and support on security best practices.
• Assist in the development and delivery of security awareness training programs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field or proven 2-3 years of experience in information security analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.
• Knowledge of security principles, best practices, and industry standards.
• Familiarity with security tools such as intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, SIEM, EDX/XDR and antivirus software.
• Certifications like CompTIA Security , Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Cisco CCNA, or other similar is a plus.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and act decisively in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
