On behalf of our client, a Luxury Beach Hotel in Chania, UWORC is recruiting a results-driven Service Manager for the season of 2023.

In order to be succesful in this role you have to work as a liaison between the management, the food and beverage team and the guests. The ideal candidate will have a professional appearance, positive attitude, strong F&B background and problem solving skills.  What to expect:

• Maximum of 9 working hours per day.
• One day off per week.
• Payment on time.
• All wages and benefits are included as required by law.
• Two meals per day.
• Accommodation inside or outside the establishment with or without cohabitation (maximum number of people in the room depending on room measurements).

The Role:

• Train and develop the F&B team according to the Hotel’s standards.
• Managing and participating in daily food and beverage operations of the restaurant and the beach front.
• Maintaining positive customer relationships, processing complaints, and responding to customer needs.
• Have a good knowledge of menu and presentation standards.
• Ensures that hotel brand standards and SOP's are consistently implemented.
• Conducts monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies.
• Following food and safety regulations.
• Checking in on guests to enquire about food quality and service.
• Able to anticipate any unexpected guest need and reacts promptly and tactfully.
• Conducts monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies.
• Ensures that the F&B outlets are always kept clean and organized, both at the front as well as the back of house areas.
• Work with fellow colleagues and managers to ensure that the department achieves its full potential.

• Degree hospitality field or related seminars are advantageous.
• WSET diploma will be concidered an asset.
• Able to speak Greek and English language clearly and fluently. A third foreign language will be considered an asset.
• Proven experience working in similar positions in luxury hotels with a la carte restaurants .
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong management and problem solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills.
