Software Applications Engineer

Within this framework, we are looking for a highly motivated “ Software Applications Engineer ” to join the IT Department that is responsible for the IT infrastructure and applications of the company.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be involved in the following activities:

• Development and support of business applications for corporate use
• Support of the DevOps platform for the software development business function

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, Electrical and/or Computer Engineering, or other related discipline
• At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• Strong experience in Java programming (preferably Spring)
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
• Passionate about new technology trends

Nice to Have:

• Experience with containers (namely Docker), including setting up, building, running, managing, and addressing security issues
• Proficiency in shell scripting (Unix and PowerShell)
• Familiarity with Git Version Control System
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment
• Knowledge of GitLab (git part, plus CI/CD with GitLab); experience with Jenkins and its jobs, Maven, and other build tools will be appreciated
• PHP programming skills (with some JavaScript/Bootstrap or similar)
• Familiarity with SharePoint management and customization/setup
