Pastry Chef

The ‘Akakiko’ Japanese Restaurant, in Nicosia, member of Louis Hotels Plc. Co. Ltd, is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Pastry Chef.

Main Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and execute a variety of pastries and desserts in accordance with the hotel's standards.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pastry.
• Ensure consistency in quality and presentation of all pastry items.
• Manage inventory and control food costs.
• Collaborate with other kitchen departments for smooth overall kitchen operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Uphold strict hygiene, safety, and sanitation practices to ensure food safety and a clean work environment.
• Collaborate closely with the Chef to understand the menu requirements and ensure timely meat preparations.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Pastry Chef in a 4* or 5* hotel.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
• Knowledge of HACCP system and sanitation procedures.
• Very good command of Greek or English language.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• EU Nationality or eligibility to work within the EU.
