The ‘Akakiko’ Japanese Restaurant, in Nicosia, member of Louis Hotels Plc. Co. Ltd, is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Pastry Chef.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and execute a variety of pastries and desserts in accordance with the hotel's standards.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pastry.
- Ensure consistency in quality and presentation of all pastry items.
- Manage inventory and control food costs.
- Collaborate with other kitchen departments for smooth overall kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols.
- Uphold strict hygiene, safety, and sanitation practices to ensure food safety and a clean work environment.
- Collaborate closely with the Chef to understand the menu requirements and ensure timely meat preparations.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Pastry Chef in a 4* or 5* hotel.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
- Knowledge of HACCP system and sanitation procedures.
- Very good command of Greek or English language.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- EU Nationality or eligibility to work within the EU.
