Job Summary

In charge of mechanical section and mechanical shift personnel for proper mechanical execution and repairs.

Job Responsibilities & Tasks 

• Organize and manage the mechanical team for proper execution of maintenance jobs and repairs.
• Manage the shift personnel in an effective and productive way.
• Follow up on spare parts needed to effectively execute the planned and unplanned jobs. Make sure that critical spare parts are in place to improve downtime and mean time to repair (MTTR).
• Lead the mechanical team, boiler and vehicles technicians to achieve a level of optimal functioning of all related equipment. Make sure that boilers are running at maximum efficiency and under environmental limitations.
• Follow up the maintenance shutdown plan along with the Maintenance Manager to ensure critical mechanical tasks are done in a timely manner.
• Develop a training plan for his subordinates and motivate the team to achieve the required level of performance.
• Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability, departmental performance, and common business objectives.
• Analyze the data received from conditioning monitoring head and put in place an action plan with maintenance manager.
• Participate actively in the root cause of critical incidents and come up with a solution to avoid similar problems in the future.
• Assign proper teams (mechanical) for projects’ execution according to the needs requested in collaboration also with the Project department.
• Be a role model in terms of HSE strategy and policy of the organization and ensure site meets all local/national regulatory requirements in HSE standards.
• Prepare risk assessments for job executions and provide safety leadership, support, and advice to mitigate risks.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Polytechneio or equivalent)
• More than 5 years of experience in Maintenance in an industrial environment
• Good communication & organizational skills
• Advanced command of English (oral & written)
• Strong teamworking ability
