What we need!

We are looking for an exceptional Software Engineer in Test to join one of our teams in a rapid development environment supporting a wide range of Software Testing activities. A good understanding of Quality Assurance processes is essential with a focus on growing Test Automation skills.

Your Day to Day!

• Create accurate and high-level test cases, and test plans in agreement with Product teams that will be maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Automate the test cases using the existing test infrastructure.
• Design tests validating large amounts of data in UI, Database and report files which are produced by data processing jobs.
• Provide test reports using our test management tool and the automation framework.
• Develop a deep understanding of the product domain and business requirements (both functional and non-functional).
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to define SMART and testable user stories
• Collaborate with other QA engineers across the organization to design, build and maintain tooling for test automation, coverage and reporting.
• Support manual QA activities when needed.
• API & UI testing.

Requirements

What you need to succeed in the role!

• Professional experience of at least 4 years working as a Software or QA Engineer.
• Exposure to test automation practices and tools.
• Basic knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Javascript, Java, C#.
• Basic knowledge of Linux commands.
• Familiarity with SQL Databases.
• Solid knowledge of structured test methods and procedures.
• Good interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels.
• A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work.
• Should be opinionated, especially about quality!
• Good English level of communication (verbal & written).

Extra points if you have!

• Experience with working on a highly complex, distributed system.
• Familiarity with Version Control e.g. Git.
• Familiarity with Python.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Qualified to ISEB/ISTQB Foundation level.
