About the role:

The HRBP function is responsible for supporting the company's strategy by attracting, retaining, growing and motivating our people. The HRBP EMEA team serves as the key point of contact for employees for all the business units of Athens, our headquarters.

The HR Specialist provides both operational and strategic support to the business and is responsible for implementing the People change agenda, by serving as an internal consultant on people-related issues, guiding and developing as required. 

The role will act as an individual contributor reporting to the HRBP EMEA Lead and will coordinate multiple initiatives across HR (including employee experience, compensation and benefits, career paths, talent acquisition, learning and career development ). You will also work closely with the HR team and various departments to ensure that HR policies and practices are consistently applied, and that the individual contributors have a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Partnering:

  • Fostering a strong culture of employee experience, across areas including performance management, people and team dynamics, rewards and recognition, and employee relations
  • identifying people risks and putting in place proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Providing support and guidance for teams on how to build a strong team culture, and increase engagement
  • Looking for opportunities to improve workplace behaviors, build positive relationships, and enhance team dynamics
  • Driving better People Leadership through education and training (giving feedback, set expectations, difficult discussions, 1:1)
  • Supporting initiatives to enhance employee engagement, job satisfaction, and workplace culture for individual contributors
  • HR

  • Acting as a point of contact for individual contributors to helping them navigate HR-related questions, concerns, and opportunities
  • Serving as trusted partner in building the employee experience by leading and owning the end to end resolution of complex people queries/issues
  • Supporting “moments that matter” such as promotions, performance reviews, resignations, exit interviews
  • Partnering with the broader People team to roll out all key people processes around compensation reviews, benefits, and learning and development programs.
  • Identifying training needs and collaborating with the professional development department to design relevant programs
  • Providing guidance on HR policies and addressing policy violations when necessary
  • Strategic Initiatives:

  • Delivering and driving actions on Employee Surveys
  • Supporting the global mobility programs 
  • Working closely with C&B for salary benchmarks
  • Providing support across the entire employee lifecycle and in particular stabilizing through transitional career stages such as promotion and resignation, or pay reviews
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyzing metrics/KPIs to track key metrics and provide data-driven insights to business leaders
  • Preparing and presenting reports on HR activities, trends, and outcomes
  • Requirements

    The ideal candidate would possess:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in generalist or HR business partner functions
  • Exposure to various HR functions such as HRBP, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and talent development
  • Strong ability to build relationships and trust with several stakeholders
  • Ability to discern underlying motivations behind employee behaviors and subsequently devise effective action plans.
  • Experience in handling employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations
  • A passion for people and how development is the cornerstone of business growth
  • Exceptional Relationship Management/Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to leverage HR analytics to make data-driven decisions and provide insights to business leaders
  • Good Coaching/Counseling/Consultation Skills and a personal growth mentality
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Commitment to a high level of confidentiality
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
  • Agility and ability to flex communication style according to different situations
  • A forward-thinking approach coupled with a keen sense of organization and an eagerness to try new, creative approaches
  • Hands-on experience in using MS Office/ Google Workspace, databases and HRIS systems (Workable, HiBob, etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English and Greek
