Accountant (7563)

CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding Group of Companies with diverse business interests including Real Estate Investments in both the UK and Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant join their growing Finance Department based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will assist with the month-end management accounting process, work with the business to prepare and execute payments and receipts, and assist other members of the Finance Team with reconciliations and interest calculations. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field, who possess at least 2 years’ experience in a Finance or Accounting environment. Candidates working towards either the ACCA, or those who are at least willing to commence the qualification are encouraged to apply. You will need to be fluent in written and spoken English, and possess strong skills in MS Office. Our client offers a highly attractive remuneration and benefits package based on skills and experience, including ACCA sponsorship, Provident Fund, and a 13th salary.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:  

• Assist with the month-end management accounting process.
• Work with the business to prepare and execute payments and receipts.
• Assist other members of the Finance team with reconciliations (Bank, Debtor, Creditor etc) and interest calculations.
• Assist with the preparation of Company Financial Statements.
• Assist with the preparation of cash flow projections.
• Assist the team with one-off finance related projects.

Key Skills/Experience:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field or a holder of a higher Diploma in Accounting.
• Willing to start or working towards the ACCA qualification.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a Finance or Accounting environment.
• Professional working approach and good communication skills.
• Good analytical skills and ability to reconcile discrepancies.
• Having professional working proficiency in English.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Navision will be considered an advantage.
