Accountant (7613)

CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Corporate & Fiduciary Services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. As an Accountant you will primarily be responsible for maintaining the accounting records on behalf of clients, including performing debtors, creditors and bank reconciliations, preparing payroll, as well as preparing and submitting VAT and VIES reports. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar, who possess approximately 2+ years of proven experience in accounting and bookkeeping. You will need to be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English, and be confident with using accounting software. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain accounting records on behalf of clients.
• Payroll preparation and execution.
• Liaising with clients to obtain all necessary information and complete the accounting records.
• Performing Debtors, Creditors and Bank reconciliations.
• Liaising with auditors.
• Preparation and submission of VAT, VIES reports.
• Preparation of Financial statements.
• Any other tasks that may be assigned.

 
Key Skills/Experience:  

• Ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another related field
• Holders of any relevant accounting qualifications/certifications are encouraged to apply.
• 2+ years prior experience in a Bookkeeping and/or Accounting role is essential.
• Knowledge of professional accounting software.
• Fluent in Greek and English (any additional language will be a plus).
• Team player and well organized with attention to detail.
• Able to work independently.
