We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support our accounting department. The ideal candidate will handle administrative and financial tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of daily accounting functions.
A Hybrid model involving 2 days of remote work and 3 days in our offices.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
- Assist with data entry and maintain accurate financial records;
- Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports;
- Handle routine accounting tasks such as accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations;
- Maintain and organize accounting documents and files.
Customer and Vendor Relations:
- Communicate with vendors and customers regarding payments, invoices, and account statements;
- Resolve billing discrepancies and answer queries.
Support Functions:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements;
- Provide support during audits;
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes;
- Provide support in financial analysis and special projects.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, or related field;
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role;
- Familiarity with Netsuite would be considered a asset;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
- Excellent command of English;
- Knowledge of tax-related matters.
