Accounting Manager (7629)

CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding Cyprus based B2B company which provides clients with a broad range of Bookkeeping, Accounting and Payroll related services, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Manager to join their growing team based in Limassol. As an Accounting Manager you will prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly management accounts, including annual financial statements, as well as ensure the accuracy of financial documents and compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another closely related field, who possess approximately 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory and/or managerial role. Strong knowledge of IFRS and VAT is a must, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly management accounts and annual financial statements.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial documents and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
• Supervise, mentor, and train less experienced members of the accounting team.
• Assign and review the work of the accounting team, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
• Coordinate and communicate with external audits and regulatory bodies.
• Evaluate and improve accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
• Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
• Evaluate and timely monitoring of the customers’ reporting requirements.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Approximately 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory and/or managerial role.
• Full members of the ACA/ACCA are encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and VAT is a must.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
