Analytics, BI & Insights Senior Manager

JUST ONE, on behalf of its client, a leading omnichannel retailer in Greece and Cyprus, is looking for an: Analytics, Business Intelligence & Insights Senior Manager.

As an  Analytics, Business Intelligence & Insights Senior Manager , you will be at the forefront of company's data-driven strategy in the omnichannel retail landscape. You will lead a dynamic team, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive, accurate, and actionable business analysis and insights that support strategic decision-making across all channels and departments of the company (e.g., Finance, Ecommerce, Commercial, Stores, Supply Chain, HR, and Marketing). This role demands a unique mix of analytical thinking & data proficiency, team management, and a keen understanding of retail business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Big Data Analysis & Generation of Growth Insights:

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources, including point-of-sale, commercial, supply chain, customer relationship management (CRM), HR Rostering, and marketing analytics platforms & systems.
• Generate algorithms, statistical models and techniques to drive operational efficiency
• Develop and implement data analysis models to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in retail and customer data.
• Generate actionable insights from data analysis and communicate these findings to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain data dashboards and visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the effectiveness of retail strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, operations, and finance, to apply data insights to improve business processes and make informed decisions.
• Ιdentify and recommend opportunities to optimize data collection, storage, and analysis processes.

Report Development and Management:

• Lead the design and creation of complex BI reports, dashboards, and data models to facilitate real-time decisions and forecasting.
• Understand and translate business requirements into reporting deliverables, including ad hoc inquiries, automated reports, and interactive dashboards.
• Ensure all reporting procedures adhere to company and data governance standards.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

• Manage and support a team of BI professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, curiosity, and data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with BI engineering teams to ensure alignment on data infrastructure, data warehouse changes, and new functionalities.
• Collaborate with various departments to identify their reporting needs, ensuring the developed reports are aligned with strategic objectives.

Data Quality and Integrity:

• Establish and maintain protocols for ensuring data accuracy, including cross-checking data and validation.
• Work closely with data governance committees to help define data quality standards and ensure compliance across all reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Statistics, Information Systems, Business, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 4-5 years in a BI Reporting & Insights role, with experience in retail or omnichannel environment preferred.
• Proven experience in managing a team consisting of reporting analysts.
• Advanced knowledge of BI tools and platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc.).
• Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics (Universal & GA4).
• Experience with data warehouse technologies (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake) is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects with tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into concise visual reports and presentations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of effectively engaging with stakeholders.
• Passion for using data to drive business growth
• Proficient in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets
• Expertise in Python, R, or another programming language for data analysis and modeling
• Understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical models and techniques
