Back-end Web Developer

As a Backend Web Developer at Afternet, you will work closely with our team to develop robust and scalable web applications that meet our clients' business needs. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborating with our frontend developers, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Developing server-side logic and APIs for web applications
• Collaborating with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use
• Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Implementing security and data protection measures
• Participating in design and code reviews
• Identifying and fixing performance bottlenecks and bugs
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

Requirements

• Experience with at least one e-commerce platform such as Prestashop, OpenCart, Magento etc.
• Proven work experience as a Backend Web Developer or similar role
• Strong proficiency in PHP
• Experience with database systems (MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Knowledge of web frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony)
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Understanding of code versioning tools (Git, Bitbucket)
• Experience with API development and integration
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
